
Chef Shashi Sharma has over 24 years of diverse experience in experimentation and development in the culinary arts. He has 14 years of academic experience and is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Food and Beverage Production, RUAS. In parallel to being an academic expert in Indian, Continental and Pan Asian cuisine, he is an active researcher at the Nutrition and Nutraceutical Research Centre. He finds joy in working with young minds and is a popular mentor, trainer and presenter. He is also a member of the Board of Examinations at Bangalore University as well as the Board Of Studies at Indian Academy University for their tourism programme. He is a certified lead auditor trainer (ISO 22000 – 2005) and an expert on the requirements for HACCP accreditation. His expertise and skills were instrumental in organising the Smart Food Culinary Symposium, a Food and Nutrition Forum at the Organics and Millets International Trade Fair in association with the Government of Karnataka.
Chef Shashi Sharma started his career in Southern Comfort at Taj Residency. Always eager to learn, he completed multiple courses starting from a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Master’s in Business Administration and a Certificate in Food and Nutrition. A member of the South Indian Chefs Association, India, he has featured on culinary shows of various regional channels like Suvarna TV, Kasturi TV, Shankara TV and Chandana TV. He encourages the use of natural and organic products for a healthy lifestyle.
