The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology offers an undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Hotel Management - BHM (Accredited by NBA), a postgraduate diploma in facility management, and a Ph.D. in Hotel Management.
Seat Allotment Policy
- The Merit List for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will be released, and candidates will be selected based on their performance in the RUAS Admission Test (RUAS AT), provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria.
- Scores from UCEED/NIFT/NID will be taken into account for the corresponding respective courses, and candidates with these scores will be exempted from the RUAS Admission Test (RUAS AT).
- After two admission sessions, any available seats will be allocated on a daily basis through the RUAS Admission Test (RUAS AT), following the seat allotment protocol outlined in the RUAS Admission Policy.

The fee structure varies based on the programme's level and the student’s category.
As per the rules of the University, the complete fee amount is required to be collected at the commencement of the academic year and cannot be paid on a semester-wise basis.
Both the Technology and Gnanagangothri Campuses are equipped with state-of-the-art hostel facilities for students. For additional details, feel free to contact the Student of Affairs at RUAS. The deadlines for undergraduate and postgraduate programme admissions end soon. However, the specific dates may vary each year.
The faculties of Engineering & Technology, Art & Design, and Mathematical & Physical Sciences are located at the Technology Campus. Consequently, all programs offered by these faculties are conducted on the Technology Campus.
Likewise, the Gnanagangothri campus situated on New BEL Road accommodates the Faculties of Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Hospitality Management and Catering Technology, Management & Commerce, Life & Allied Health Sciences, School of Social Sciences, School of Law, Ramaiah Medical College, Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy, and Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education & Research, along with the programmes offered by each of these faculties.

MSRIT functions as an autonomous college under VTU, while RUAS operates as a private university. However, both institutions are managed by the same group.
