Service to Society
Service to Society is a fundamental component of the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences curriculum.
According to the curriculum, each student must participate in a mandatory "Service to Society" activity for one day as part of their coursework. The activities encompass but are not limited to:
- Public spaces cleaning
- Raising awareness of traffic rules near junctions
- Supporting the Forest Department in reforestation and sapling planting
- Participating in National Immunization Drives, etc.
- Visiting Government schools for career guidance, computer usage, stationery donations, and awareness campaigns on cleanliness, waste management, and current issues
- Visiting orphanages and old age homes to provide dental and health checkups and donate food items and entertainment
