WIFI Campus
IT infrastructure in Ramaiah University Of Applied Science University has been widely spread across connecting 16 buildings with high-speed robust network backbone
Their computer network is built on Di switching platform with backbone running on 10Gig at present. 250+ IP enabled devices are connected to this fast network.
Understanding the demands of faculty and students to use digital media for their research, teaching & learning process, 2 Gbps of internet bandwidth is made available through three major Internet service providers.
Over 800+ WIFI access points are positioned across the campus to facilitate internet access to students, faculty and guests while they are in the campus. Seamless internet access given to students through Hotspots and well planned WIFI network at Hostel rooms.
Network Support
- Each building in the campus is connected using single mode fiber channel With 10 G Interface.
- High speed connectivity from multiple ISP’s terminated in Firewall (2 Gig Speed)
- ERP, Moodle, VMware Horizon view, Lecture Capturing Impartus server, connected to WAN access through firewall on DMZ
- Each building is connected with optic fiber10G interface different Vlan subnet
- Each building is differentiated with different Vlan ID subnet with separate IP Pool.
VMware Technology
The University has deployed VMware technology for all its applications. These include:
- Data center/server virtualization (shared cluster storage)
- Desktop virtualization Server using VMware hypervisor and HP and Dell Rack servers.
- Evaluating for 500 VDI Machines with horizon 7 to deploy across the LABS.
Infrastructure and Application Services
We Have Centralized DATA Center Managing all the On Premises Cloud Infrastructure. Having the All the application with Database servers connected to Local Domain. We are having Attendance server for employees with Contact less punching with Mobile APP
We have LMS in the campus for conducting Quiz and online examination. Maintaining Centralized Tally Server in campus for Ramaiah University Of Applied Science Campus, Sanjay Nagar and Ganganagar Campus accounts. We are having centralized antivirus server in the campus to prevent and detect the threats and Malware.
Updated Antivirus definitions and Windows Updates when required. We are having 260 CCTV Cameras across the campus, manage & recording, for Surveillance and Monitoring.
Digital Class Rooms
Having More than 180 Class Rooms with Projectors with interactive system.
Digital LED Display
Eva to display Ongoing Events in the Campus. Connected with Central Display Server
