Convocations mark a crucial turning point in life.

They are a joyous celebration of everything that has been - the hard work, discipline, dedication, and determination of students. And an enthusiastic anticipation of everything that will be - the world of possibilities that await them!

Students stand at the cusp of change, of adulthood, of becoming the compassionate change makers that society needs. Equipped with the learning, experiences, and memories of their time at the University, students prepare to carve their own independent paths to success.

The day-long event brings together different faculties, students and teachers, as members of the RUAS family address the graduating students. Imminent personalities also grace the occasion as chief guests and guests of honour and partake in the celebrations.

MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences celebrated its 10th ceremonial Convocation on 22nd December 2025.The ceremonies were held simultaneously at Four locations, namely, the auditorium of Ramaiah Medical College (Main Venue), the Dwaraka auditorium, Temple square at the Gnanagangothri campus, and the Ramaiah Technology Campus, Peenya.

The main Venue- auditorium of Ramaiah Medical College hosted PhD scholars, proud recipients of Academics Excellence medals (Gold & Silver) for Overall Best Academic performance in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs and the best dissertation awards. The function was presided over by Dr.MR Jayaram, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman of Gokula Education Trust who appreciated the hardwork of students and congratulated the PhD recipients and the awardees of medals. Prof.Navakanta Bhat, Dean-Division of Interdisciplinary Sciences, & Professor at the Centre of Nanoscience& Engineering graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address he said that the pace at which our economy is growing the day will not be far when India will emerge as one of the largest economies in the world.

In his welcome address, Prof.Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University said that it indeed was a proud moment for MSRUAS to witness the graduation of 2045 undergraduate and postgraduate students. He was proud to say that the 10th Convocation marked a decade of sustainability, of MSRUAS, as a university in the pursuit of academic excellence. Dr. Sivathanu Pillai, Member BOG, Mr.M.R Sampangiramaiah, Member BOG, Mr. S Ashok Rao, the Registrar, Dr. AG Prathab, COE, Dr. Hemanth, Joint Registrar, and Dr. Nandakumar-Associate Dean Research & innovations were the other dignitaries on the dais. Dr. Ganavi and Dr. Hariprasad were the Masters of Ceremonies. During the Convocation a total of 2095 students received their degrees, out of which 50 were PhD scholars. Medals were awarded to 107 students for their meritorious academic performances.

10th convocation

Patil-Associate Dean Students Wellbeing and Dr. Rinki Sharma, Associate Dean CADAR conferred degrees to Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Art and Design, and Faculty of Natural Sciences graduands at Ramaiah Technology Campus, Peenya.

10th Convocation Proceedings

The 9th ceremonial Convocation of MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences was held on 03rd January,2025 at Four locations, namely the auditorium of Ramaiah Medical College, Dwaraka auditorium, Temple square Gnanagangotri campus, and Ramaiah Technology Campus (RTC) Peenya. All the PhD scholars, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students receiving gold and silver medals for their Overall Best Academic performance and best dissertation awards, Graduands from Faculty of dental sciences and Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy were recipients of degrees at RMC auditorium. The function was presided over by Dr.MR Jayaram, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman of Gokula Education Trust who expressed gratitude to the parents for the achievements of their children. Prof. M.Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address he emphasized on improving overall health, and encouraged students to become lifelong learners.

Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University welcomed the gathering and said that students are the pillars of any University. In his report he put forth the milestones achieved by MSRUAS in the last 10 years

9th convocation

Shree M. R. Srinivasa Murthy, Chief Executive Officer, GEF(M), Dr. Sivathanu Pillai, Dr. K.R.S. Murthy, Dr. O P Kharbanda, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, Dr. G.S Venkatesh, Registrar, Dr. AG Prathab, COE, Dr.Hemanth, Joint Registrar, Deans of Faculties, and Heads of various departments were the other dignitaries on the dais. Dr. Sejal Kumarpal Munoyath and Dr. Sandeep Reddy were the Masters of Ceremonies. During the Convocation a total of 1910 students received their degrees, out of which 32 were PhD scholars. Medals were awarded to 102 students for their meritorious academic performances.

9th Convocation Proceedings

The 8th ceremonial Convocation of M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences was held on 29th December,2023 at three locations, simultaneously, the main venue being the auditorium of Ramaiah Medical College, Gnanagangothri campus, Bangalore. The programme was presided over by Dr​. M.R. Jayaram, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman of Gokula Education Trust, who inspired the young graduands with his address. Prof. J.N. Reddy O’Donnell Foundation IV Endowed Chair, University Distinguished Professor, and Regents’ Professor, Texas A&M University graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University welcomed the august audience and presented the Annual Report of the University.

Dr. O P Kharbanda, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, Dr. G.S Venkatesh, Registrar, Dr. Medha Rao, Dean Academics, Dr. Anitha Ramalingam, COE, Deans of Faculties, and Heads of various departments were the other dignitaries on the dais.

8th convocation

Dr. Vidya Baliga and Dr. Sandeep Reddy were the Master of Ceremonies. During the Convocation a total of 1864 students received their degrees, out of which 23 were PhD scholars. Medals were awarded to 83 students for their meritorious academic performances. The graduands were cheered on by all the faculty, and their proud parents. The programme ended with the vote of thanks.

8th Convocation Proceedings

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences conducted its 7th Convocation on Thursday, 16th February 2023 at Gnangangothri and Ramaiah Technology Campuses. Degrees were conferred to Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars. Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Vice Chancellor-RUAS welcomed the gathering, Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, Govt. of India was the chief guest of the function and delivered the Convocation Address. Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University presided over the convocation ceremony, conferred the degree to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) graduands and gave away medals to the toppers of respective UG and PG programmes. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Medha Y. Rao, Dean - Academic Affairs, RUAS. Shree M. R. Srinivasa Murthy, Chief Executive Officer - GEF(M), Dr. G S Venkatesh - Registrar, RUAS graced the occasion.

seventh convocation

Vice Chancellor and Registrar and respective Deans of the faculties conferred degrees to the Faculty of Management and Commerce (FMC), Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences (FLAHS) and School of Social Sciences graduands at Dwaraka Hall.

7th Convocation Proceedings

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences conducted its Sixth Convocation on Monday, 14th March 2022 at Gnangangothri Campus, New BEL Road, Bangalore. Degrees were conferred to Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars. Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Vice Chancellor-RUAS welcomed the gathering, Prof, Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE was the chief guest of the function and delivered the Convocation Address. Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University presided over the convocation ceremony, conferred the degree to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) graduands and gave away medals to the toppers of respective UG and PG programmes.

Sixth Convocation

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Latha Anandakrishna, Dean - Academic Affairs, RUAS. Shree M. R. Srinivasa Murthy, Chief Executive Officer - GEF(M), Dr. M Saibaba - Registrar, Dr. Govind R Kadambi - PVC Research and Dr. Anindya Sen - PVC Social Sciences - RUAS graced the occasion.

Vice Chancellor and Registrar conferred degrees to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) graduands at Dwaraka Hall, Dr. Govind R. Kadambi, PVC-Research conferred degrees to Faculty of Art and Design(FAD) and Faculty of Mathematical & Physical Sciences (FMPS) graduands at Auditorium, Advanced Learning Center, University House, Dr. Anindysen, PVC-Social Sciences conferred degrees to Faculty of Management and Commerce graduands (FMC) at FMC Seminar Hall, Prof. Ashok C. Meti, Controller of Examination conferred degrees to Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc.) graduands at Gurukula, Faculty of Dental Sciences and Deans of FLAHS, FHMCT and FPH conferred degrees to the respective faculty graduands at Ramaiah Medical College Auditorium.

6th Convocation Proceedings

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) organized the Fifth Convocation at Gnanagangothri Campus on 22nd February 2021. Dr. K. Kasturirangan, Former - Chairman, ISRO and Padma Vibhushan Awardee was the Chief Guest for the Ceremony. Dr. Kasturirangan’s Convocation Address highlighted on transition from the bounded and structured framework of academics to unbounded and evolving framework of future career. Congratulating all the Graduands, Dr. Kasturirangan emphasized that Convocation is yet another landmark day bringing with it an opportunity for the needed renewal of the urge and thrust for rigor, rededication and repositioning for prospective career opportunities.

Fifth Convocation (Virtual)

In this Convocation, 1047 Students received their Degree Certificates. In particular, 16 Students were awarded Ph.D. Degree from RUAS. Dr. M.R. Jayaram, Chancellor, RUAS presided over the Convocation Ceremony. Prof. Govind R. Kadambi, Acting Vice Chancellor, RUAS delivered the Welcome Address and informed all the Students that the University has thrived to provide you the environment, encouragement, exposure and experience to gain the expertise needed to pursue the future career with immense confidence and resounding satisfaction. Prof. Kadambi also hoped that the academic journey in RUAS was a worthwhile, rewarding and the envisaged student experience was comparable to the best of the Universities across the Globe. On behalf of RUAS, Prof. Kadambi expressed the gratitude to all the Trustees, Directors, Head’s of the Sister Institutions, International Partners and Well Wishers of the University. Prof. D.C. Sundaresh, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences) congratulated all the graduating Students and proposed Vote of Thanks for the Event.

5th Convocation Proceedings

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences conducted its Fourth Convocation on Wednesday, 23rd October 2019 at Dwaraka Auditorium, Gnangangothri Campus, New BEL Road, Bangalore. Degrees were conferred to graduands of B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Des., M.Des., BHM, MBA(HM), MDS, MBA, MHA, M.Sc., M.Com., B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. programme. Dr. Sivagurtu S Sritharan, Vice Chancellor-RUAS welcomed the gathering, Dr. Bhushan Patwardhan, Vice-chairman, UGC, New Delhi was the chief guest and delivered the Convocation Address. Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University presided over the convocation ceremony and gave away medals to the toppers of respective programmes.

Fourth Convocation

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro Vice Chancellor-Research, RUAS. The Deans of respective faculties conferred degrees to the graduands. Shree M. R. Srinivasa Murthy, Chief Executive Officer - GEF(M) and Dr. A. R. Subramanian, Registrar - RUAS graced the occasion.

4th Convocation Proceedings

RUAS conducted its thirdd Convocation on Wednesday, 19th January 2019 at Dwaraka Auditorium, Gnangangothri Campus, New BEL Road, Bangalore. Degrees were conferred to graduands of B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Des., M.Des., MBA, MBA-HM, M.Com., M.Sc., BHM, MHA, M.Sc. B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. programme. Prof. Govind R. Kadambi, Acting Vice Chancellor, RUAS welcomed the gathering, Dr. Michael D. Amiridis, Chancellor - The University of Illinois at Chicago was the chief guest and delivered the Convocation Address.

Third Convocation

Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University presided over the convocation ceremony and gave away medals to the toppers of respective programmes. The Deans of respective faculties conferred degrees to the graduands.

3th Convocation Proceedings

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences conducted its Second Convocation on Friday, 3rd November 2017 at Dwaraka Auditorium, Gnangangothri Campus, New BEL Road, Bangalore. Degrees were conferred to graduands of M.Tech., M.Des., MBA, MHA, M.Sc. and M.Pharm. programme. Dr. S. R. Shankapal welcomed the gathering, Dr. Susan Poser, Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, The University of Illinois at Chicago was the chief guest and delivered the Convocation Address.

Second Convocation

Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University presided over the convocation ceremony and gave away medals to the toppers of respective programmes. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. K. Pushpanjali, Academic Registrar, RUAS.

The Deans of respective faculties conferred degrees to the graduands. Dr. Bellur S. Prabhakar, Associate Dean for technological innovation and training, prof in the department of Microbiology & immunology and professor of opthalmology, The University of Illinois at Chicago graced the occasion.

2nd Convocation Proceedings

The University conducted its FIRST Convocation on Friday, 4th November 2016 at 4:30 pm in the University House, Gnangangothri Campus, New BEL Road, Bangalore. It was a historic and memorable day as all the graduates of first batch were conferred a Masters Degree of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. Graduands of M.Tech., M. Des., MBA, MHA, M.Sc. and M.Pharm. programme were conferred with M.Tech., M. Des., MBA, MHA, M.Sc. and M.Pharm. degrees respectively.

First Convocation

Well-known Missile Scientist, Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai, recipient of Padma Bhushan delivered the Convocation Address. Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chancellor of the University gave away medals to the toppers of respective programmes. Deans of respective faculties conferred the degrees to the graduands.
