Teaching Pedagogy
Every undergraduate student is assigned a dedicated proctor - a faculty member from the respective department.
The proctor actively oversees the student's academic performance and behaviour, providing guidance and enforcing discipline whenever required. Regular meetings between the student and proctor are conducted to assess academic progress, including performance, attendance, and registration for credits. The same is also reported to the student’s parents/guardians.
Establishment of the Proctorial System
- The organisational structure of the Proctorial System involves the Chief Proctor operating at the University level, the Head Proctor functioning at the Faculty level, and Individual Proctors assigned at the batch level.
- The Head Proctor consults with the concerned Dean and HoDs to assign Individual Proctors. The Proctor–Student ratio is 1:20 for undergraduate students of all Faculties. A comprehensive document listing proctor-student allotments is shared with the Chief Proctor for updates and information.
- Proctors use a Proctor Diary to record the details of their meetings with students and outline their plan of action for each individual. This systematic approach ensures effective communication within the Proctorial System.
