Dr Swaroop Hegde is a Professor and has been heading the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at RUAS since April 2019. His association with the university began as a Senior Lecturer (1995 — 1998) followed by his steady progression to Reader (1998 – 2003) at MSRDC and to Professor (2003 – 2019) under the Faculty of Dental Sciences.
He teaches various modules and also advises students of undergraduate, postgraduate (MDS) and PhD courses for their theses and dissertations. More specifically, he has been the UG Course leader for 3^rd and 4^th Year BDS (Batch 2014 – 2020). At the PG level, he is Module 2 leader for the 2018 batch and Module 6 leader for the 2017 batch.
He studied for his Master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore University (1993 — 1995).
