The Faculty of Dental Sciences offers a 4-year undergraduate programme, including a one-year internship leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and a 3-year postgraduate programme leading to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree.

There are nine departments at FDS (Oral Medicine & Radiology, Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Periodontology, Prosthodontics, Public Health Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery).

The faculty also offers a Doctoral research programme leading to the award of a Ph.D. degree. The programmes and curriculum offered by the faculty adhere to norms prescribed by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The curriculum offered is outcome-based and helps students develop critical thinking abilities and imbibe relevant practical skills for a smooth transition from academics to a real-life work environment. Opportunities are provided for students to do their internship in India or abroad, depending on their preference.

Yes. In accordance with the UGC Reference Letter No: F 8–22/2013(CPP 1/PU) dated 21 July 2016, it is hereby confirmed that Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences holds recognition from the University Grants Commission.

Yes. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences has obtained approval from the AICTE, as indicated by Approval Reference Number F. No. South-West/2020-21/1-7161814455, dated 30 June 2020.

The fee structure varies depending on the programme level and the student's category.

According to the university regulations, the complete fee amount must be collected at the commencement of the academic year and cannot be paid on a semester-by-semester basis.

Both the Gnanagangothri Campus and the Technology Campus provide meticulously organised hostel facilities for students. For additional information, please reach out to the Student Affairs office at RUAS.
Additionally, students from both campuses have the alternative of choosing private, off-campus accommodation.

The Technology Campus accommodates the Faculties of Engineering & Technology, Art & Design, and Mathematical & Physical Sciences. Consequently, all programmes administered by these faculties are conducted at the Technology Campus.
On the other hand, the Gnanagangothri Campus on New BEL Road hosts the Faculties of Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Hospitality Management and Catering Technology, Management & Commerce,
Life & Allied Health Sciences, School of Social Sciences, Medical, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and School of Law, along with the programmes offered by each of these faculties.

No, they are distinct entities. MSRIT operates as an autonomous college under VTU, whereas RUAS is a private university. It is important to note that both institutions are overseen by the same managing group.
