Professor
Belonging to the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Dr Ashwini S is a Professor who has been heading the Department of Periodontology since 2016. Her educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Dental Surgery specialising in Periodontology from Bapuji Dental College, Davanagere (2000).
Joining M S Ramaiah Dental College as a Senior Lecturer in 2005, she worked as a Reader before becoming a Professor in 2010. She dedicates some of her time at the university for advising undergraduate and MS students on their thesis preparation. She has applied for multiple (Indian) patents for her innovative research. These include a dental care kit with toothbrush sanitiser and an analgesic coated surgical suture.
