I have focused primarily on various aspects of inflammation, inflammatory / oxidative stress markers, and their role in understanding etiopathogenesis, clinical presentation, progression, and therapeutics PPOELs. This has helped in societal needs as a missing link in PPOELs treatment needs. Recently, my personal interest has grown more focused on volatile organic compounds, intracellular particle characterization using SEM/TEM, in silico simulations, and induced animal models for the purpose of developing pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic models for the treatment of submucous fibrosis (SMF) in wistar male rats. There has been substantial research on the use of neutraceuticals in the treatment of PPOELs. My other areas of interest includes salivary gland disorders and its imaging, photodynamic therapy for oral mucosal lesions, photo biomodulation and artificial intelligence among others.
