Mr. Manjunatha Babu is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies and Hospitality, Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology, at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), Bengaluru. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Marketing) from BMSCE, Bengaluru and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management (specialization in Front Office)RUAS, Bengaluru. His academic journey is strongly complemented by professional training experiences at reputed hospitality establishments, including Sheraton Grand, Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru and Ramada by Wyndham, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. These experiences have enriched his industry knowledge, honed his practical expertise, and provided him with valuable insights into the standards and expectations of the global hospitality sector. In his teaching career, Mr. Babu blends academic rigor with practical exposure, adopting an interactive and student-centered approach. He believes in making learning engaging and impactful by integrating real-world examples, case studies, role-play exercises, and industry-driven projects into classroom sessions. His teaching philosophy emphasizes not only the development of professional competence but also the nurturing of personal growth, creativity, and confidence among his students. Apart from teaching, he is also passionate about baking and travelling, which he often uses as an avenue to connect with students and encourage innovative thinking within the field of hospitality management. His research interests are focused on Tourism Marketing, where he aspires to contribute to both academic advancements and industry development by exploring emerging trends, consumer behavior, and sustainable practices in the tourism and hospitality sectors. He envisions his research and academic contributions playing a role in preparing students to become globally competitive professionals who can drive the growth and transformation of the hospitality industry.
