International Symposium on Autoethnography and Narrative (ISAN) 2024
Dr Sonali Gupta, presented at the 2024 International Symposium on Autoethnography and Narrative (ISAN) held on March 1-3. ISAN is sponsored by the International Association of Autoethnography and Narrative Inquiry (IAANI). IAANI advances the use of autoethnography and narrative inquiry throughout the world through social scientific, humanistic, and aesthetic writing and performing. The proceedings will be published as a part of the International Association of Autoethnography and Narrative Inquiry. Dr Sonali’s paper titled “Redefining Adventure: Navigating Gender Expectations as an Indian Woman Scuba Diver” was the only presenter from India at the symposium that had over 300 participants affiliated with more than 25 countries. Her paper presents a transformative journey through the lens of an Indian woman who dared to challenge these norms by embracing the adrenaline-fueled world of scuba diving. The article serves as a window into a broader context of gender, leisure, and self-transformation.

Dr Sonali Gupta’s article titled “Behind every Superman there is a Clark Kent: Discovering the Silent Strengths in the Entrepreneurial Journey” published in Prometheus: Critical Studies in Innovation, an ABDC ‘B’ & ABS ‘2’ ranked journal. ABDC ratings and ABS ranks are hallmark of peer-reviewed research excellence in Management, Social Science and allied fields.

The Startup Society

New Executive Team takes charge of The Startup Society (TSS)
A new executive team of enthusiastic students from across various programs in faculties of FMC, FLAHS and FET took charge of the entrepreneurship club at RUAS – The Startup Society (TSS), that operates under the aegis of Center for Entrepreneurship. TSS is the youngest and one of the most active clubs at RUAS that encourages and empowers its members to think and act entrepreneurially and develop the confidence to turn their ideas into ventures. Six of the eight executive team members time are girls in the executive team led by the President Aastha B. (Picture below).
