Culinary Excellence: Mr. Gokaraju Secures 2nd Runner-Up at Young Chef India 2025

The Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT) at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences celebrates the outstanding achievement of Gokaraju Mohana Murali Krishnamraju, a final-year BHM student, in the prestigious Young Chef India 2025 competition organized by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM).

This nationwide competition saw participation from over 400 young chefs, each showcasing their culinary skills, creativity, and passion. Gokaraju demonstrated exceptional talent and stood out during the rigorous qualifier rounds, securing a place among the top 40 competitors in the regional finals. His stellar performance propelled him further, placing him in the top 10 young chefs in India and earning him a coveted spot in the grand finals.

On January 4, 2025, in a thrilling culmination of the competition, Gokaraju impressed the esteemed jury with his culinary innovation, technique, and presentation. The legendary Chef Sanjeev Kapoor himself announced Gokaraju as the 2nd Runner-Up of Young Chef India 2025, solidifying his position as one of the finest young culinary talents in the country.

Gokaraju’s journey in the Young Chef India 2025 competition is a testament to his dedication, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence. He has made the university immensely proud, inspiring aspiring chefs and hoteliers to aim high and work hard.
