Webinar on “Optimization around Us”

The Centre of AI for Social Good at the School of Social Sciences & Law, M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), recently organized a webinar on "Optimization around Us" as part of its Algorithms & Beyond knowledge-sharing series.

The webinar held on September 13, 2025, the webinar featured Dr. Puja Sahu, Staff Scientist at Western Digital, as the resource person. She focused on the transformative role of optimization applications in daily life, demonstrating how it empowers smarter decisions, boosts business growth, and drives meaningful societal changes through real-world examples across different sectors.

The webinar witnessed a strong turnout of over 50 participants from diverse fields, including Data Sciences, Psychology, Law, Computational Social Sciences, Economics, and Public Policy, along with faculty members from various university departments. The successful event was led by Dr. Rema V. with the support of the Centre's dedicated interdisciplinary faculty and student team.
