The Pre-Summit Events for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026

The Pre-Summit Events for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 were held on November 28, 2025, at the RMC Board Room, RUAS. Title of the event is “Human Capital in the AI Era: A Strategic Roundtable on Workforce and Education Policy”. The primary objective was to facilitate high-level dialogue among industry leaders, academic experts, and national security professionals concerning the key human-capital and policy imperatives shaping India’s AI future.

The event featured an inaugural session and four focused roundtables:

Industry Skill Demand & Deployment: Focused on developing human-centric and responsible AI guidelines and pathways for Indian industries.

Research & Innovation Ecosystem: Explored how to develop human capital to drive AI-powered innovation, stressing outcome-oriented research and strong foundational skills.

National Security Framework: Examined how India must evolve to use AI as a strategic asset, emphasizing the need for indigenous digital infrastructure and sovereign AI capabilities.

Academic Transformation: Discussed future-proofing education, promoting responsible AI use frameworks, and ensuring that AI supports—rather than replaces—core human judgment and critical thinking.

The inaugural session, led by Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, positioned human capital as the core asset in the AI era and emphasized the strategic importance of fostering a responsible, human-centric AI ecosystem. The subsequent discussions consistently stressed that India’s progress depends on developing adaptive, well-trained human capital, ensuring ethical governance, and building sovereign capabilities. The event concluded with a synthesis plenary, consolidating insights to guide policy and shape the agenda for the main summit in February 2026.
