RUAS Students Shines at Urban Vision Hackathon 2025

Two student teams from B.Sc. & M.Sc. Data Sciences & Analytics, School of Social Sciences,RUAS participated in the Urban Vision Hackathon 2025 held from 12th April to 22nd June 2025, jointly organized by IISc. Bengaluru and Airawat Mobility, focusing on AI-based solutions for traffic safety and urban mobility in Indian cities. 

Following team have participated the Hackathon

• Team Prompt Pirates – Laxmi Sreeja, Ayushi Snigdha, Rakshitha B H, Rakshan R Nayak 
• Team Code Crafters – Venu Ayyankar, Shaan Somanna, Hemanth R P 

Key Highlights:

• Consistently ranked among the Top 30 teams nationally out of 700+ participants. Top 20 teams progressed to Phase 2, while our teams remained in the Top 30, demonstrating strong performance.
• Secured daily and weekly leaderboard prizes from IISc.
• Received certificates for high scores and consistency.
• Gained hands-on experience in developing scalable AI solutions for real-world urban challenges.

This participation reflects our students’ growing capability in socially responsible AI development and highlights the Centre’s continued efforts to foster initiatives in this direction. The student teams were guided by industry mentor Ms. Jeevitha SatheeshKumar R, CEO - JSR Script and the Centre of AI for Social Good faculty team, led by Dr. Rema V.
