National Oral Pathologists’ Day 2025 Celebrations at FDS, RUAS
The Faculty of Dental Sciences (FDS), Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) celebrated National Oral Pathologists’ Day 2025 with a series of engaging and intellectually stimulating events aimed at fostering awareness and enthusiasm for the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. The event was a resounding success with over 200 entries received from dental colleges across India for participating in various events.
On 27th February the celebrations featured the Ramaiah Pathoscope Quiz, a test of diagnostic acumen, along with a treasure hunt that combined knowledge with excitement for the undergraduate students along with creative events like soap carving.
Dental Colleges across India had actively taken part in online events like E-poster presentations, and 3D model preparations which provided a platform for students to express their artistic and conceptual understanding of Oral cancer and Oral Pathology.
Adding to the academic excellence, the event hosted two insightful guest lectures by esteemed speakers Dr Clement Wilfred D, Professor, Dept. of General Pathology, RMC and Dr Hajira Khatoon, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Oral Pathology, FDS, highlighting the importance of Oral manifestations in diagnosing Systemic hematologic disorders and critical role of histopathology in clinical decision-making. The sessions emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, biopsy procedures, and interdisciplinary collaboration in improving patient outcomes.
The event successfully brought together students, faculty, and experts, reinforcing the significance of Oral Pathology in modern dentistry. With enthusiastic participation, the celebrations at FDS, RUAS, served as a tribute to the field and its vital contribution to accurate diagnosis and patient care.
