Industrial Visit to Texport Apparels LLP, Bengaluru

Department of Fashion Design organized an industrial visit to “Texport Apparels LLP” Plot # 427, 4th Phase, 12th Cross Road, Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore on 21 August 2025 for III and VII semester and 22 August 2025 for I and V semester B. Des Fashion Design students. The students were accompanied by teaching staffs and seen shirt manufacturing process.

This type of practical exposure and, interaction with concerned departmental heads such as sampling, production, finishing and, quality helped the students a lot in learning the garment production process which is a part of the course curriculum. Each of the section demonstrations i.e., fabric sourcing, storage, shrink test, fabric defect checking, packaging, trim section, spreading, laying, pattern cutting by using a straight knife, band knife, sorting, bundling, stitching by using different industrial machines for each of garment components, pressing etc. was really amazing. Explanation, hospitality and, support given by Industry managers and head staffs were too good. Students were able to grasp the actual working process and challenges in the apparel manufacturing.
