Independence Day Celebration 2026

M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2026 at Vidhya Soudha Lawn, commemorating India’s journey of freedom and celebrating the values of patriotism, unity and national pride. The celebration commenced with the Guard of Honour, Flag Hoisting and National Anthem, followed by the March Past and Rifle Salute by the NCC Contingent and Ramaiah Security Team. NSS RUAS distributed school bags and T Shirts to underprivileged children studying in Government Schools as a part of the Abhyudaya Project. Rotarian Mohammed Bilal and Rotarian Alma Khan received Annual Exemplary Student Awards. The Security Team recognized their security guards who have contributed to maintain a safe environment on the campus . The awardees of the Rangoli Competition with the theme RUAS Yuva Shakthi – Innovate, Inspire, and Lead organized by NSS FHMCT initiative were felicitated . The event was enriched by vibrant patriotic and classical cultural performances, including Namo Namo Bharatambe, Vande Matharam, Natesha Kauthuvam and Deshi Divas. The celebration concluded with Walk with Tiranga, reinforcing the message of national unity, social responsibility and pride in the nation. The event provided a meaningful platform for the RUAS community to come together, recognise student achievements, showcase talent and reaffirm its commitment to contributing positively to society and the nation.
