The Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art and Design, RUAS, organized a guest lecture on 'Designing Apparels Using AI Tools in Industry & Sustainability Factors: Pros and Cons.' The lecture was delivered by Mr. Revant Karthik, Director of Foreign Office and Global Merchandising at Sunscope, Bengaluru. Held on August 19, 2026, in Room A204 at the RTC Campus for B.Des Fashion Design students, the session highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing fashion by bridging human creativity with data-driven innovation. Mr. Karthik emphasized how AI tools—ranging from automated trend forecasting to 3D digital apparel rendering—empower designers to craft smarter, faster, and more sustainable collections across the creation workflow, while sharing insights into industry-standard tools and his professional experiences.
