Graduation Day & Lamp Lighting Ceremony at RINER
The Graduation Ceremony and Lamp Lighting Ceremony at Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research (RINER) was a heartfelt celebration of hope, dedication, and the transformative power of nursing. With 78 graduates stepping forward to embrace their roles as healers and caregivers, and 160 freshers—61 GNM and 99 B.Sc. Nursing students—taking their first sacred steps into the profession, the event beautifully symbolized both endings and new beginnings.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, led by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Deepika Cecil Khakha, Nursing Advisor, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, whose
inspiring words set the tone for the event.
Dr. Jadhav Sonali Tarachand, Principal and Dean of RINER, presented the annual report of the college, while the presidential address was delivered by Dr. Venkatesh G.S., Registrar, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences.
On this occasion, Shri Udaykumar Shetty, Head of Finance and Accounts, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, and Guest of Honour, shared his valuable insights with the students.
Other dignitaries on the dais included Dr. Radha M.S., Vice Principal of RINER, and the Heads of Departments of RINER.
The presence of parents and guardians added a deeply personal touch to the celebration, as their pride and joy filled the atmosphere. Additionally, the event was honored by the attendance of principals from eminent nursing education institutions, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the nursing community.
It was a day that celebrated not just academic milestones, but the very essence of nursing—serving with empathy, leading with courage, and illuminating the path for others in their darkest moments.
