Employability Enhancement Training

The Employability Enhancement Training Program held on October 24th and 25th, 2024, at Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research (RINER) saw enthusiastic participation from 148 final-year nursing students across GNM, B.Sc. and P.B.B.Sc. programs. The training was designed to equip students with workforce-ready skills and emphasized on practical nursing competencies, interview preparation, communication and healthcare standards.

On Day 1, expert nursing staff from Ramaiah Medical College Hospital led sessions on infection control and Biomedical waste management, medication administration-how to prevent Errors, blood product handling, shift handover reports-ISBAR, care bundles, fall and pressure injury prevention, each with practical exercises for hands-on learning.

Day 2 included a recap and sessions such as Basic Life Support by Mrs. Ramya S.N, Putting a face to your resume by Dr. Chrishma Violla D’Souza, Nailing that nursing interview by Dr. Jadhav Sonali Tarachand, Effective Communication in nursing by Mrs. Lima Mathew and NABH -What a novice nurse should know by Ms. Patricia Mary.

The program concluded with a knowledge assessment showing 95% enhancement, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in preparing students to equip with workforce-ready skills
