Technical Talk on “Usage of Sustainable Non-woven Material for Research and Effective Publishing Strategies for Academic Success”
The Faculty of Art and Design and the Office of Research and Innovation conducted a technical talk on “Usage of Sustainable Non-Woven Material for Research and Effective Publishing Strategies for Academic Success” on 11 July 2025 in A 206 Seminar room, RTC, RUAS. The Resource person Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar is currently a Professor of Technical Textiles at Texas Tech University and delivered the talk for staff and research scholars of RUAS.
The talk enriched the participants with the knowledge of sustainable non-woven materials in advancing research applications. The resource person also focuses on practical aspects of the handling of non-woven materials; Viral Protection Nonwovens, Earth-friendly oil absorbents replacing plastics, etc. Dr Seshadri Ram Kumar said now higher education should focus more on outreach activities. In this context, Dr. Ram Kumar explained the benefits of becoming a member and opening a student chapter of AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists), scholarship opportunities, placements and internships for students.
