International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day
International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day is an annual observance celebrated on 13 February each year. It’s dedicated to recognizing the contributions of oral and maxillofacial surgeons. The specialists who diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and related structures and to raise awareness of the role they play in health care.

Venue: Auditorium, FDS, RUAS
Purpose: To honor and highlight unique skills of Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and promote understanding of the specialty among professionals and the public. The date also aligns with the birth anniversary of Dr. Minoo Sorabjee Ginwalla, India’s first oral surgeon, and has been marked by numerous dental colleges and professional associations with educational programs, awareness campaigns, quizzes, lectures, and community events.
Our department along with the institutional support is organizing activities on this day focusing on theme of road safety in facial trauma, and the vital diagnostic and surgical contributions of oral and maxillofacial surgeons
