This is because the Indian government and public and private sector industries are supporting and promoting robotics startups. For instance, in 2018, the Kerala government partnered with Genrobotics to use a spider-shaped robot to clean sewers and manholes.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a M. Tech or ME, or an equivalent degree in engineering, architecture, construction technology, mechanical engineering, aeronautical or transportation engineering, automotive or automobile engineering, industrial production engineering or allied disciplines related to civil engineering.
Candidates who belong to SC/ST categories are given a different qualifying mark as per government notifications
Candidates should have the equivalent qualification approved by Association of Indian Universities.
Should have proof of proficiency in English with a minimum TOEFL score of 8
