Overview
According to a recent UNICEF report, there are approximately 240 million children with disabilities worldwide. This is about one in every 10 children. This has created a demand for healthcare professionals and researchers to enhance skills and knowledge for optimal intervention in the pediatric population. The needs of these children change as they grow, requiring dynamic interaction and treatment planning by a multidisciplinary team. Pediatric physiotherapists are an integral part of interdisciplinary healthcare teams dedicated to enhancing the physical development, motor skills, and overall well-being of children.
The MPT in Pediatric Physiotherapy course delves into the intricacies of pediatric physiotherapy, covering areas such as developmental milestones, pediatric musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, and evidence-based interventions. The course encompasses a comprehensive curriculum focusing on evidence-based practices, pediatric neurology, musculoskeletal disorders, and developmental milestones. Under the MPT in Pediatric Physiotherapy syllabus, students gain a deep understanding of the physiological and psychological aspects of pediatric care, preparing them to provide effective rehabilitation for infants, children, and adolescents facing various challenges. Graduates of the MPT Physiotherapy course are prepared to provide specialised care to children with congenital conditions, injuries, or developmental delays.
