Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences celebrated World Environment Day which falls on June 5^th. On this occasion, the University’s NSS Cell decided to plant saplings in association with Adamya Chetana Foundation as part of their Green Sunday initiative. The place chosen to plant saplings was Bangalore University Campus. Dr. Tejawini Anantkumar, Managing Trustee of the Foundation addressed the students and urged them to spare few Sundays every year for this noble cause of planting saplings initiated by them. The 100 samplings were planted . It was also to commemorate the Centennial Birth Anniversary of Karmayogi Dr. M S Ramaiah, Hon’ble Founder of RUAS. It was a satisfying day spent to give back something to the nature and making the world a better and greener place for all.
