The NSS team of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences(RUAS) organised ​”Plog Run- A Run To Make Mathikere Litter-Free” on 28^th October 2021 as a part of the Clean India Campaign. The NSS volunteers of RUAS from various disciplines like Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Art and Design, Management and Hospitality came together to participate in the event. The volunteers picked up plastic waste, the majority being used water bottles and gutka packets. The students along with Faculty NSS Coordinators and Student Affairs Team covered more than 6 kilometers and collected more than 30-kilogram of waste plastic.

This is a great initiative by Government of India to involve students at a young age from educational institutions to make them understand the importance of cleanliness in and around.
