NSS RUAS in association with Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research (RINER) & DKMS BMST Foundation India organized HOPE – Close the Care Gap event to celebrate the National Cancer Awareness Day on 15^th November 2022 at ESB Seminar Hall – I, Ramaiah Institute of Technology. Over 250 NSS volunteers participated in the event to understand the severity of common cancers in India. Session also highlighted precautions to be taken for early detection of cancer and role of health care workers in supporting cancer patients & survivors.

DKMS BMST foundation India pioneer in providing blood stem cell transplant therapy for cancer patients conducted an awareness session & provided an opportunity to pledge as Stem Cell Donor. Over 91 NSS volunteers took pledge to be stem cell donors.
