RUAS, Dept. of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art and Design entered in to a Memorandum of Understanding with BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), Dhaka, Bangladesh on 10 April, 2022 in virtual mode. Ms Nagaveni K, Asst. Prof Dept. of Fashion Design welcomed the delegates. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, briefed about aim of the MOU. Prof. Kuldeep K Raina, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore highlighted on benefits of MOU in his presidential address i.e. Development and promotion of joint activities, Commercialization of technologies developed by ​“The Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art & Design” of MSRUAS and Faculty of Fashion Studies of BUFT, Working jointly on the proposals for research funding for the projects concerned from various agencies, Offer a semester study for BUFT students at MSRUAS, India while BUFT will also offer a semester study for MSRUAS students at BUFT, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Organize joint faculty training programs for BUFT and MSRUAS, Allowing and facilitating faculty members, students from MSRUAS and faculty members, students and staffs from BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology to pursue research and internship etc. 

Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Honourable Vice Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, Bangladesh delivered special address during the event. The MoU was signed by Mr. Md. Rafiquzzaman, Registrar, BUFT and Prof. M. Sai Baba, Registrar – RUAS. Shri. Muzaffar U Siddique, Honourable Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees, BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh was the chief guest for the event. Prof. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mamatha G Hegde, Assoc. Prof and Head, Dept. of Fashion Design graced the virtual mode occasion along with dept. staff members from RUAS side. Prof. Dr. Sirajul Karim Choudhury, Dean, Faculty of Fashion Studies, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology delivered vote of thanks.
