Walk to Heal - 4K Walkathon

The 4K HEAL (Health, Environment, Agriculture, Lifestyle) Walkathon, organized by GoPALs (An NGO working actively in the promotion of native cows and going green) took place on the 5th January, 2025, at the scenic Cubbon Park in Bengaluru. NSS and Rotaract RUAS collaborated as Academic and Volunteering partner, contributing significantly to the event's success. The primary goals of the walkathon were to encourage physical fitness & mental well-being among participants, to raise awareness about sustainable lifestyle practices that benefit health and the environment.

Over 500 participants, including students from various colleges across banglore, faculty, NSS volunteers, Rotaractors, and members of the general public, joined the walkathon. Informative banners, placards, and messages highlighting key health tips, environmental sustainability practices, and lifestyle modifications were displayed throughout the event. NSS & Rotaract volunteers also extended their support in crowd management, kits distribution, managing logistics, serving of refreshments and conducting awareness campaigns. Rotaract RUAS was also instrumental in curating and showcasing a skit and street play on the occasion in alignment with the HEAL concept to create awareness.
