The Distinguished Speaker Session on “Artificial Intelligence in User Centric Design: Concepts and Applications”
Department of Data Sciences and Analytics, School of Social Sciences, RUAS organised the distinguished speaker session on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in User Centric Design: Concepts and Applications” on 24th December 2025.
This talk presents how Artificial Intelligence enables user-centric design by adapting systems to human behavior, abilities, and cognitive states. It demonstrates real-world applications of eye-gaze, computer vision, and multimodal interaction to improve accessibility, usability, and safety. Case studies span assistive technologies for people with SSMI, human-robot interaction, and Industry 4.0 ergonomic systems.
The talk further highlights AI-driven solutions in automotive and aviation, including distraction detection and cognitive load estimation. Overall, it showcases how AI bridges the physical and digital worlds to create inclusive, intelligent, and human-aware systems.
