RUAS Hosts National-Level Tech Fest — Pravrutti 2025

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) successfully hosted its first-ever National-Level Tech Fest — Pravrutti 2025, held from October 15 to 17, 2025, at the Ramaiah Technology Campus, Peenya.

The event was a grand celebration of innovation, technology, and creativity, marking a significant milestone in our university's journey toward fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and technical excellence across India.

Vision and Execution

Initially conceptualized in April 2025, the fest was strategically rescheduled for October to align with the academic calendars of RUAS and other institutions, ensuring maximum participation.

Publicity for Pravrutti began in September 2025 through extensive outreach, including an email campaign that reached over 5,000 potential participants, along with targeted invitations, social media promotions, and a dedicated website designed by RUAS students. Registration officially closed on October 12, 2025.

Scale and Participation

Pravrutti 2025 featured 26 distinct events across Engineering and Health Sciences, all aligned under six major thrust areas:

• Healthcare and Biomedical Innovation
• Sustainable Engineering
• Smart Systems
• Future Mobility
• Invention and Discovery
• Robotics and Automation

With a total prize pool of ₹10 lakhs, the fest celebrated excellence in innovation, design, and problem-solving. The event, open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students nationwide, received an overwhelming response:

• A total of 770 registrations (including spot entries).
• Over 2,000 participants from 91 institutions, including premier institutions like the IITs, NITs, and IISc.
• Representation from eight states across India: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
• A total of 1,564 students actively participated across the three days of the event.

Pravrutti 2025 served as a powerful testament to the enthusiasm and talent of India's future innovators.
