National Seminar & Workshop on “FORENSIC & BEYOND – BRIDGING THE DISCIPLINES”

The Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, RUAS, successfully conducted a one-day National Seminar and Workshop titled “FORENSIC & BEYOND – BRIDGING THE DISCIPLINES” on 22nd May 2025 at the university campus. The event brought together over 250 participants from multiple disciplines including dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, and law, reflecting the expanding relevance of forensic science across professional domains.
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Silju Mathew, Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences, who set the tone for the day’s academic deliberations. The inauguration was led by Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Raina, Honourable Vice Chancellor, RUAS, and the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Simi Mariam George, IPS, Joint Director (Administration), State Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru, as the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries delivered insightful addresses that inspired and energized the gathering.

The academic program featured five eminent guest speakers, who delivered thought-provoking sessions and led discussions on various aspects of forensic science. The workshop component provided hands-on experience, enhancing practical understanding among attendees.

The seminar was highly appreciated for its interdisciplinary approach, excellent organization, and engaging content, marking a significant academic milestone for the department and contributing to knowledge exchange across fields.
