National Seminar on ​“New Criminal Laws: Issues and Trends”

The School of Law at MSRUAS conducted National Seminar on ​‘New Criminal Laws: Issues and Trends’ on 3rd & 4th May 2024, where day one delved into 3 technical sessions discussing the three new Criminal Laws and day two witnessed paper presentations from the legal fraternity followed by a valedictory session. The event saw a huge turnout of students, research scholars and academicians from various law colleges.

It commenced with a grand inauguration, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Aruna L, the Head of the Department at the School of Law followed by the Inaugural address by Dr. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Keynote address by Chief Guest Hon’ble Mr. Justice C.M. Joshi, High Court of Karnataka, followed by Presidential address by Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. M.R. Jayaram. The event further unfolded with engaging sessions featuring distinguished speakers such as Dr. S.V Joga Rao, Professor at NLSIU, Dr. Ashit Mohan Prasad (Retired. IPS) and Dr. S.B.N. Prakash, Retired District and Sessions Judge on Day one.

The day two of the event witnessed participation from the legal fraternity across the country. The event concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem and announcement of best paper awards and distribution of certificates to all the paper presenters by Hon’ble Dr. Justice K. Bhakthavatsala, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka.
