Inauguration of RUAS Student Chapter of the Aeronautical Society of India

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Ramaiah Student Chapter of the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) was held on 27th May 2025 at the Ramaiah Technology Campus, Bengaluru. Organized by the Department of Aerospace and Automotive Engineering, the event commenced with the Ramaiah Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Sarat Kumar Maharana, Dean, RTC

The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the beginning of the event, invoking positive energy for the journey ahead. Prof. Govind R. Kadambi, Pro Vice Chancellor, RUAS, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the legacy of AeSI and the significance of establishing the student chapter. Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Editor of the Journal of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies, addressed the gathering with a motivating message, engaging with the students on a personal level. He emphasized the vast world of opportunities that the student chapter would open up for them. The gathering was then addressed by the chief guest, Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, President, The Aeronautical Society of India, he captivated the students with his words, leaving them inspired and in high spirits. A felicitation ceremony followed, where the university leadership, led by Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Vice Chancellor, RUAS, honored the distinguished guests. Dr. Reddy formally launched the student branch by handing over the shield and membership cards. This was followed with the Presidential address by Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Raina. 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jayahar Sivasubramanian, Head of the Department of Aerospace and Automotive Engineering, thanking the audience, the Special Guests and the organizing team for making the event a success. 

Following the formal proceedings, the attendees were provided with refreshments. The event concluded with a visit to the student project exhibition organized at the venue. The exhibition showcased a diverse range of innovative projects developed by RUAS students. Guests and faculty members took keen interest in the exhibits, engaging with the students and appreciating their work.
