Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR): Guest Lecture for MPH Students at RUAS
The Department of Public Health (Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences, RUAS) organized a guest lecture on "Normative and Value-Based Policy, Evidence-Based Policy, and Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR)" for first- and second-year Master of Public Health students on December 5, 2025. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Aishwarya, Assistant Professor from the Department of Public Policy.
The discussion focused on how health policies are formulated and implemented, as well as how they interact within complex health systems to achieve public health goals. Dr. Aishwarya emphasized the importance of context, key actors, and system dynamics in improving policy outcomes.
The session was greatly enriched by the students, who contributed their strong subject knowledge and real-world field experiences to the dialogue.
We extend our gratitude to Dr. Tejaswini B.D., Mr. Tushar Shaw, and Dr. Hari Prasad for the invitation. Special thanks also go to Dr. Soma Chaki and Mr. Gurucharan Gollerkeri for their invaluable support and guidance.
