Guest Lecture on Hotel Front Office Cashiering Procedures

A guest lecture was organized for IV semester BHM students of the Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT), RUAS, focusing on Hotel Front Office Cashiering Procedures. The session was conducted by Mr. Suraj R, Global Training Lead for India, USA, and the Philippines, and former Marriott International employee. Held for a group of 59 students, the session provided in-depth insights into front office cashiering operations, including cash float maintenance, handover procedures, foreign currency handling, and various guest payment methods. Mr. Suraj also highlighted how to manage cash shortages and shared practical examples from his hotel experience. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students clarified doubts and gained valuable industry insights through real-life scenarios shared by the speaker.
