Front Office Appreciation Week, FHMCT, RUAS
Front Office Appreciation Week, planned and organized by the Department of Front Office, FHMCT, from October 21 to 23, 2024, at Seminar Hall of FHMCT, was a festive campaign designed to recognize the significance of customer service and commend those who demonstrate excellence in this area. Organized during International Customer Service Week, the event lasted for 3 days. It included various engaging activities, workshops, competitions, and guest speakers to enhance students' abilities in the hospitality industry. The program emphasized the importance of technical and interpersonal skills for future professionals, emphasizing the significance of front-office positions in the hospitality industry.
Day 1: Contest for designing a unique welcome package and Workshop on Grooming Etiquette:
Ms. Rupali, a BHM student, kicked off the first day by conducting a seminar on grooming etiquette. She emphasized the importance of grooming and etiquette standards for new hospitality workers in her presentation.
Day 2: Guest Lecture on Guest Relations
Facility Manager at JLL, Suresh Moorthy, gave a speech about the important role of guest interactions and satisfaction in the hospitality sector, providing students with practical strategies for managing guests effectively.
Day 3: Session on Image Management and Development of Soft Skills
During the session, Ms. Indumathi S, a Freelancer and consultant, highlighted the significance of soft skills like adaptability, collaboration, conflict resolution, and image coaching to assist students in showcasing themselves confidently in professional environments.
Front Office Appreciation Week proved to be a valuable event for everyone involved. It cultivated a greater understanding of customer service and equip students for their future in the hospitality industry.
