Dr. Tapasi Ghosh Represents SSS, RUAS at MIT's Prestigious AI Workshop at MIT, USA

We proudly announce that Dr. Tapasi Ghosh, Head of the Department and Associate Professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Analytics (DSA), delivered an impactful talk at the prestigious 4th AI4EIC Workshop in Boston, USA.

The workshop was hosted in collaboration with the AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and was held from October 27–29, 2025.

Dr. Ghosh’s presentation, titled “RAG-inspired Open-source based Q&A System for Scholarly Articles in EIC,” focused on cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) research. The core research addresses the critical challenge of Large Language Model (LLM) hallucination by utilizing advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. This work demonstrates the practical application of Data Analytics to enhance accuracy in scientific knowledge retrieval.

This international workshop successfully convened global experts dedicated to advancing AI/ML innovations in science research. The focus areas align directly with the future of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) and other High Energy Nuclear Experiments, spanning complex areas like detector design, scientific analysis, and computational intelligence.
