Dr. Hajira Khatoon wins IOCCON 2026 Paper Presentation Award

Dr. Hajira Khatoon, Assistant Professor, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, Faculty of Dental Sciences (FDS), Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), secured the Second Position in the Paper Presentation Competition for the topic “Transcriptomic Profiling of Verrucous Carcinoma and Its Transformation into Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Comparative RNA Sequencing Study” under the Faculty Category at the prestigious International Oral Cancer Congress 2026 (IOCCON 2026).

The conference was a four-day international scientific meeting held from 26th February to 1st March 2026 and organized by the National Health Academy, India, in collaboration with Medskill. The event brought together eminent researchers, clinicians, academicians, and healthcare professionals from across the globe to deliberate on advancements in oral oncology and allied disciplines.

Dr. Hajira Khatoon’s achievement reflects her outstanding scholarly contribution, scientific merit, and excellence in research presentation. This recognition highlights the academic strength and research excellence of the Department of Oral Pathology at FDS, RUAS.
