Dr. Aishwarya Invited as a Panelist by the IIPS Alumni Association (IIPSAA)

Dr. Aishwarya, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Public Policy, School of Social Sciences, RUAS was invited as a panelist for a panel discussion organized by the IIPS Alumni Association (IIPSAA) on the theme "Marriage Challenges and Preferred Fertility in India” on 17th July 2026.

India's fertility rate falling below the replacement level of 2.1 children per woman marks a significant demographic transition. While concerns about population decline often dominate the discussion, the trend primarily reflects profound socio-economic changes that are reshaping marriage patterns and reproductive choices. In this backdrop IIPSAA organized the panel discussion by young faculties and researchers with senior professors, Prof. F. Ram and Prof. Sulabha Parasuraman as moderators on July 17, 2026. It attracted a diverse audience and sparked lively discussions across discipline.
