Congratulations to Ms. Shraddha

Ms. Shradha R 3rd Year B.Sc (Hons) Applied Economics students from the School of Social Sciences, RUAS participated in HAL x IIT Indore Aerothon 2026, a national-level hackathon conducted in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) held on 7th and 8th August 2026 at IIT Indore.

She participated in the competition as a member of Team Mavericks, along with team lead from PES University and another member from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. The team secured First Place in the Grand Finale of HAL x IITI Aerothon 2026 with their project titled, 'Hybrid UAV Propulsion System'.

Out of 2,600 participating teams from across the country, 25 teams were shortlisted for the Grand Finale, and Team Mavericks secured First Place among them.

Their project focused on developing an optimized hybrid-electric propulsion system for a fixed-wing UAV, combining engineering modelling, energy management, and multi-objective optimization to improve the efficiency and performance of the aircraft.
