Dr. Md Baharul Islam is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in International Space Law from Raiganj University, where his research focused on space debris and the need for sustainable use of outer space. He also earned a Gold Medal in LL.M. from Jaipur National University.
With more than nine years of teaching experience at reputed institutions such as Alliance University, Presidency University, and ICFAI University, Tripura, Dr. Islam brings wide academic expertise in International Space Law, AI & Technology Law, and Intellectual Property Rights. Before entering full-time academics, he practiced for over two years as an Advocate at the High Court of Tripura and subordinate courts, which strengthened his practical understanding of law.
Dr. Islam is a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), Paris, and serves on editorial boards of several legal journals. He is actively engaged in academic leadership, research mentoring, and outreach initiatives to promote legal education and interdisciplinary scholarship.
