Mooting is one such road that will lead you towards the path of success in various fields of life and not just those related to law. We the core team of the moot court committee of RUAS, School of Law represented by faculty coordinator Ms. Akanksha Surana Mam Adina Koshy, Convenor and Sloka Menon, Co Convenor with associates Vidhya KS, Alisha, Gurusaran, Venkat Raghav, Chaithanya and Sanjay K have the duty to ensure that the students get a clear understanding of the functions and processes of trials that are held in real courtrooms and we make sure that the ones who are participating are given the right guidelines to improve their skills on research and rebuttal.
By holding various guest lectures and mock sessions on how a moot court works, the committee has worked hard in ensuring that the mooting skills of the students are nurtured well in an intellectual environment. Join us and gear up for an immersive experience of how a real courtroom would be!

Debate and MUN Committee
Debating provides a basis for building up on the knowledge acquired during the study of law and correlates it with the case at hand. And Through Model United Nations conferences, one can learn and become friends with diplomacy. Other than these basic skills, one can also sharpen their creative and analytical thinking with the help of simple yet fun literary events that we look forward to organizing.
The debate, MUN, and literary committee of the school of law, RUAS, represented by faculty coordinator Ms. Surabhi Mathur, Sanjana Yatish student convenor, Nivedita Mahesh,co-convenor and associate Shahid Choudhary undertake the organization of all these activities that bring out the fun in learning essential skills that will help you later on in life!
The debate committee hosted an intra debate competition on colonial laws to enhance the public speaking skills and saw an active participation from the students and was indeed a successful event.
We also organised an introductory seminar on the procedure on British Parliamentary Debates to the first-year students. Our seminar involved a detailed presentation on how collegiate level British Parliamentary Debates work and also enlightened the students on Indian Parliamentary Procedures. We ended the session with a brief demonstration on Parliamentary Debates on the topic of "Anti- Conversion Laws"

Gender Sensitization Committee
A Gender Sensitization Committee (GSC) is a committee set up in an organization or institution to address and prevent incidents of gender-based discrimination, harassment, and violence. The committee is responsible for creating a safe and inclusive work or study environment for all genders.
This Committee is represented by faculty co- Ordinator Ms. Surabhi Mathur, Student Convenor PSV Raghunath, Co- Convenor Meenakshi Rao. The GSC typically comprises representatives from various departments or divisions of the organization or institution, including both men and women and LGBTQR+. They are responsible for conducting awareness campaigns, workshops, and training sessions to sensitize employees or students to issues related to gender equality and harassment. The GSC also receives complaints from individuals who have experienced gender-based discrimination or harassment and investigates them in a confidential and impartial manner. Based on their findings, the committee takes appropriate action, which could include disciplinary action against the perpetrator and support for the survivor.
In summary, the Gender Sensitization Committee plays a crucial role in promoting gender equality, preventing discrimination, and creating a safe and respectful environment for all genders in the workplace or educational institutions.

Anti Sexual Harassment Committee
The Anti sexual harassment committee has been established by School of Law of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences to develop guidelines and norms for a policy against sexual harassment. The committee deals with the issues relating to sexual harassment within the campus and is applicable to the students, staff and faculty. The committee helps in providing a healthy atmosphere for the students, staff and the faculty.

Anti Ragging Committee
School Of Law, RUAS maintains a healthy and comfortable learning environment for its students. The institution offers protection for students and newcomers from the menace of ragging. Our School of Law has constituted Anti-Ragging Cell to ensure compliance with any regulations and laws currently in effect that have anything to do with ragging.
This Committee is represented by faculty Co – Ordinator Mr. Arvind Tayenjam, Student Convenor Vinayak Karadi, Student co- convenor Vaishnavi Ravadi.
Our committees main aim is to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging undisciplined activities by any student.
Anti-Ragging Committee will be also involved in designing strategies and action plan for curbing the Menace of Ragging in the college by adopting some actions. The Committee also would conduct awareness programme from time-to-time in the campus.
Ragging is totally banned in the Institution and anyone found guilty of ragging or betting ragging is liable to be punished as it is a criminal offence.

Disciplinary Committee
It is always said that in order to complete our work, we have to be disciplined. The disciplinary and grievance committee has strived to ensure that each student of school of law has always remained disciplined in each task they do. In order to be sure of this the cell imposed various rules and regulations on the students. With regard to the regularity in attending the classes and the uniform of the students, when the committee observed the irregularities it made rules for the same.

During the Arka 2022-2023, National Symposium Day, Saraswathi pooja, the committee ensured to maintain the decorum of the law school and strove hard to make the event a successful one. It was always the goal of the committee to maintain discipline and eliminate grievance of each student thus the committee always worked towards doing so.

Social Media Committee
The goal of the social media committee is to share various accomplishments, events, and activities of our aspiring attorneys on social media platforms. The most popular social media sites, such as LinkedIn and Instagram, are among the primary platforms.

The School of Law's social media committee has worked to document various events held there, from the Independence Day celebrations of 2022, Saraswathi pooja, to the School of Law's flagship event, "ARKA 2022," and a national symposium held in honour of India's Constitution Day. We also had the chance to record and promote information on the many guest lectures given at the School of Law. The Social Media Committee is pleased to serve as a member of the organizing committee for several competitions held by the college, including debates, moot courts, and the National Essay Writing Competition, which was held on the topic of social justice.

Internship and Placement Cell
Internships are formal programs whose primary purpose is to offer practical work experience in a particular occupation to people who are new to that field. Internships fulfil an important component of both academic and practical education in law.
The Internship and Placement Committee of School of Law is very active and assists students to get internships and future placements. We also strive hard in order to make the students realize how actually the internship works and are also guided in accordance to that.
