Highlights

Proctoral System
  • Under the Proctoral System, every student is assigned a faculty member as a Proctor or a mentor.
  • These mentors offer guidance, support and encouragement to students, helping them as they progress along their academic journey. From the choice of electives to their academic performance, from attendance to meeting their credit requirements, students can approach these mentors with any and every query.
  • Proctors also interact with parents/guardians and keep them updated on the progress of students.
  • To ensure that they reap the benefits of the Proctoral System, students are advised to be in regular contact with their Proctors.
Innovation Centre

At the Innovation Centre, students team up with faculty members to bring their innovative ideas to life. Ideas are assessed based on their relevance and impact on the  society. These are then translated into working projects that are entered in national and international competitions, and for registration as patents.

Hospital Visit

Visit hospitals to gain exposure to the various departments.

Partner Facilities

The major privilege for this department is its location in close vicinity with two renowned Hospitals i.e., Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and Ramaiah Medical College Hospital with around 1100 bed capacity within the campus that caters to patients belonging to diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Our esteemed hospitals are the epitome of state-of-the-art equipment facilities, amenities, and a stalwart team of health care professionals.

Department of Pharmacy Practice in partnership with Ramaiah Medical College hospital has successfully established the Drug Information Centre (DIC) to offer various clinical and hospital pharmacy services such as answering drug information queries, offering patient counselling materials, Adverse Drug Reaction monitoring and medication therapy review.

Inter-Disciplinary Community Orientation Program (IDCOP) is a value-added program offered by the department. This is a one-of-a-kind event, wherein, students belonging to five health care disciplines i.e Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Dental Sciences join together to offer service to villages. This exposure will enable the students to grasp the ground reality of people living in low socio-economic grounds. The experience gained by the students will be valuable for furthering their higher studies in public health, as these activities are well appreciated in national and international forums.
