Post Basic B.Sc. degree in Nursing is a broad based education aimed to build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. Program Objectives
On completion of Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree course the graduates will be able to
- Assess health status, identify nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients / clients that contribute to health of individuals, families and communities.
- demonstrate competency in techniques of nursing based on concepts and principles from selected areas of nursing, physical, biological and behavioral sciences.
- Participate as members of health team in the promotive, preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of the country.
- Demonstrate skills in communication and interpersonal relationship.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations.
- Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in community health settings.

Eligibility Criteria
Government of Karnataka Quota and Indian Students Under University Quota
- Passed higher secondary /Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university or 10+1 completed before 1986
- A certificate in General Nursing Midwifery and registered as RN RM with the State Nurses Registration Council. A Male nurse trained before the implementation of the new integrated course and registered with State Nurses Registration Council
- Candidates shall be medically fit
Foreign Students Under University Quota
The students should satisfy the following conditions:
- Equivalent qualification to 10+2 and students must obtain equivalency from Indian Nursing Council to pursue Post Basic BSc nursing in India
- Proof of proficiency in English
