FAQs

An MPH is a 2‑year postgraduate programme that trains students in public health principles, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, environmental health, ethics and research, preparing them to address community and global health challenges through education, prevention and policy design.

An MPH is a professional degree that teaches you how to apply public health in real-world settings like communities, policy and clinics. It usually includes a practicum or capstone. An MSc in Public Health is more research and data-focused, ideal if you want to write a thesis, analyse data and maybe pursue a PhD. At the end, it depends on what you want to do.

MPH graduates can work as epidemiologists, biostatisticians, health policy analysts, administrators and global health professionals across government, NGOs, hospitals, consultancy, research institutions, or international agencies.

A full‑time MPH usually takes two years across four semesters. Part‑time or online formats may extend to 3–4 years. Dissertation and internship components are integral parts of the timeline.

Applicants need a bachelor's degree (medical or non‑medical) with at least 50% aggregate (or 5.0 CGPA). Degrees in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, engineering, statistics, social sciences, etc., are accepted. Admission is via RUAS‑AT or CUET‑PG scores.
