Overview

The LLM in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security is a postgraduate law programme meant for students desiring to focus on the growing area of the interaction between advanced technology and law. This programme covers the deontological, normative, and compliance questions regarding new technologies like artificial intelligence and cyber security systems. It prepares students with the knowledge and expertise that enables them to understand the legal requirements of technology advancements and policy them from social and ethical perspectives.

The programme features foundational legal courses and specialised electives, including AI governance, data protection, cybersecurity laws, and cybercrime. Through coursework and the HA Strategy, students analyse case studies, examine international legal frameworks, and participate in research and internships. This interdisciplinary design unites lawyers, technologists, and policymakers, preparing graduates to effectively navigate the intersection of law and technology.

This programme equips graduates with the skills to take on challenging roles in law firms, government agencies, IT companies, and global organisations. Eligibility Criteria

Indian Nationals

The applicants applying for the LLM in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security programme need to have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the master’s degree in any subjects within the area of research interest. In addition, they are subjected to a minimum prescribed score in the written examination and/or into, which includes the presentation of a topic and/or a test of basic knowledge as recommended by the University Research and Innovation Council (RIC).

International Students

Candidates should have a Master’s degree qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities in the related discipline or equivalent. It is also mandatory to provide documents that the candidate has adequate experience with the English language. However, candidates who have completed their Master's degree in an English-medium programme are not required to submit an English proficiency certificate. However, the RIC may sometimes set some extra conditions for research students who are enrolled from foreign countries, which are applicable only to research students.
