An MoU signing ceremony between Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) and Johnson & Johnson was held on 7 August 2026 at the Taj hotel , KIAL Airport, Bangalore. The event marked an important step towards strengthening collaboration between the academic and industry sectors.

The Memorandum of Understanding was formally signed by Mr. Ashok Rao, Registrar, - Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and Mr. Unni Velachery, representing Johnson & Johnson. The folder exchange ceremony happened between Honourable Chairman Dr MR Jayaram from Ramaiah and Namal Nawana from J & J.

Senior Leadership from both sides were present.

The collaboration aims to establish a meaningful association between the two organizations and create opportunities for mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest. The partnership is expected to facilitate a dedicated facility for orthopaedic surgical skills training at RALC, knowledge exchange, industry engagement, and initiatives that can contribute to the academic and professional development of surgeons and other stakeholders.

The association between RUAS and Johnson & Johnson is expected to open avenues for future collaborative initiatives and strengthen the connection between higher education and industry.

The event concluded on a positive note, with both organizations expressing their commitment to a mutually beneficial and long-term partnership.
